Multi-directional strength, durable, abrasion resistant, uniform surface, anti-soil, washable, quick drying, breathable and easy soil release are all inherent attributes that make Madaline® a great upholstery fabric. Even at the lower weights Madaline® has successfully passed the burst test requirements for upholstery material and Madaline® is lint-free and low-pilling; all of which make it a superior upholstery material compared to microfibers.

 

Madaline® does not use PVC, solvents or binders during its production therefore no toxic gases are released when exposed to fire. Madaline® is free of VOC (volatile organic compounds) and meets tighter odor regulations.

 

Madaline® has exceptional capability for enhanced printing and dyeing with stunning visual results. The natural matte color of Madaline® is an excellent base to bond sharp printed images and dye with lively and deep colors.

 

Madaline® fabrics for upholstery can be printed or dyed. These printed or dyed fabrics can also be laminated with traditional textiles to give the resultant fabric a heavier and ‘full’ fee.

 

Madaline® can also be used to upholster outdoor furniture and cushions for the garden, restaurants, café’s, etc.

 

Treatments include hydrophobic, fire retardant, UV protection, oil repellent, softened, and flocked surface.

 

Madeline® has the wet friction strength required for the upholstery.
